Psalm 32:8
"I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you."
This verse reminds me of Noah in the scriptures. Noah was the only righteous man living on earth at one point in his life. The scriptures say he consistently followed God's will and enjoyed a close relationship with him. So one day God told Noah that he was going to wipe everything off the face of the earth except for Noah's family and two of every kind of animal because everything was so corrupt. God then told him to build an ark because he would wipe out all living things on earth with a great flood and the ark would keep them safe during the flood. So Noah did just as God commanded him to do and it saved not only his life but everyone and everything in the ark.
Something to ponder......what would our lives would look like if we trusted God enough to let him be the guiding force in our lives just like Noah did centuries ago? Remember God always has a bigger and better plan for your life than you do.

The perplexing mystery in this question is how many leaders have experienced the same equivocation in their lives, and yet continue to lead. Those who do, fall prey to the comfort of ambiguity or regress due to the fear of being responsible for something certain. To truly survive is to pursue the concrete ideals God has set before us. Success comes from the courage to accomplish God's will despite our carnality. I do not see this as the tempo we set in Christianity currently.
Loved Evan Almighty for this reason. He obeyed in the midst of ridicule and rejection. In the movie, God (Morgan Freeman) said that whatever he asked Evan to do, it was because he loved him. We see why at the end. Thanks John!
